Independent Life Skills Program

I am happy to announce that our agency has formed a partnership with the Wasagamack Anisinenew Urban Prevention to provide the Independent Life Skills Program for Island Lake youth or young adults.
The purpose of the program is to assist youth approaching the age of maturity with necessary life skills such as positive relationships/support network, mental health coping skills, healthy relationships, identity, life goals vs. system and indigenous history awareness, all with a culturally appropriate focus.
The agency will provide snacks, bus ticket and incentives.
Independent Life Skills Program
When: October 2 - October 30, 2025 (Every Thursday)
Time: 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
Where: 185 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg (Wasagamack Anisinenew Urban Prevention)
Who can attend: CIC, AYA, FE, or FS youth from 15-24 years of age or Any Wasagamack youth or young adults from 15 - 26 years of age
