November 17, 2025 to November 22, 2025
The agency will be offering the "Mentorship Essential Skills Program" for our youth in care.
This is a 5-day program that will provide certificates and incentives to those who complete the program.
This is an advanced program for participants that have completed the Independent Life Skills Program.
The motto of the program is to "show your actions". The program is not about just sitting on a chair and listening to the facilitator.
Rather, the program is about the participant's commitment to change and increasing willingness to step into unfamiliar situations and "show their actions".
Participants will be encouraged to practice these habits in their daily lives, taking small steps toward a brighter and more confident future.
The program will help youth become more independent by teaching important life skills and everyday responsibilities.
These include keeping their space clean and organized, taking care of their well-being, getting mental health support, and connecting with their community, culture, and spirituality.
They will also try out different tasks to learn about local resources and build positive connections with people around them.
After youth have joined the program, I will also communicate with caregivers and social workers to help improve the participant's essential skills in mentorship.
