Hello everyone,

Fits Kids Healthy Kids, U of M Kinesiology Department, and the Island Lake First Nations Family Services presents the Physical Literacy "Ready, Set, and Active" workshop for Children.

The 4 weeks workshop will provide basic physical literacy skills with fun activities and games.

The agency will work with Fits Kids Healthy Kids mentors, U of M Kinesiology students and Island Lake First Nations youth helpers to teach young children physical literacy, fundamental movement skills, and how to incorporate games and activities into the program.

This is part of an early intervention program for children, focusing on physical movements and the wellbeing of their mental health to reduce the onset of diabetes and obesity in our community.

Gifts will be given to the participants who complete the program. Please circulate this information.
